I hate politics, really, I swear

What bothers me most about all the 47% fiasco is not that Mittens said it.

On some level, you have to assume someone like him would maybe say something like that. I don’t know the guy personally, I’ve heard all sorts of things, but I like to go back to thinking he is an okay guy, and that politics has brought out the worst in him for all the world to tear to shreads. I could be wrong, I could be right.

What bothers me more than Mittens saying all the things he said, is that I know for a fact that people who are and will vote for him, and politicians like him, are not in anyway bothered by his remarks.

In fact, they would most likely nod their heads in agreement. And not even think twice about it. Or they would staunchly defend his remarks as truth.

Perhaps some of what he said is based in a small amount of truth. Except when you look at the actual facts, it’s not really truth at all.

But that does not mean in it’s entiretly and the general tone of his party, is not a really crass and disgusting display of how he believes 47% of this country operates. With their hands out waiting. With no real drive to be responsible. That talking policy is too hard for us common folks to understand or that it will sway voters.

I didn’t agree with his policies, I would not have voted for him to begin with, but I am deeply troubled not by him saying this, I’m troubled that he didn’t think this shit up on his own. It’s a pretty normal and expected thing for people who view our country the way he does to say.

That is sad.
